not really a huge fan of the 2-step movement, but this ep is fucking xplosive! BIRA KVINNOR WEED! i'd post the whole thing because all the tracks on it are dope, but that would take away from the shine that the best numbers on it sport. these tunes are on BLAST!

Marcus Price X Carli:

the quality

Please behold 90's rave, one of the strangest cultural precipitates the world has seen thus far:
now, with the perspective on dance music you have just gained, you can help yourself to all of the hyped up bloghouse you've heard about in the past 2 months

download this, be happy until the heartbreakingly bad vocals come in, then imagine a 320 version of the inevitable dub mix and you'll know what i wish i could post.

the posting of this track is conducive to the cause of people recognizing good minimal.

the posting of this track should educate one of the powers of variation. housey.

an electronic battle weapon:

some hasty techno for good measure

senghore killing it in the game right now

i wish i could tell you something more about this guy, bt all i know is that he's been making tracks forever (since pre2003). he's blog famous right now. here are tracks good:

sick standout from my boys Hulkkonen and Dahlbäck:

tek tues

though overshadowed by the U.S in almost every other area of note, mexicans manage to approach edm with a smarter sensibility than 99% of american prods. today's main attraction is a handful of technical music from the deep south. i came upon the mexican netlabel kreativa during my internet travels today. thought i'd share.

and a really bomb track from the boys of Donk:

holy ramadan

while the popularity of die antwoord's music video increases, so does the inappropriate use of the phrase "next level shit." any in search of adjectives for RAMADANMAN'S music can feel safe with that description though, as his music is radically different in subtly different in radical ways. oxymorons are in this season. enjoy.

lost track o timee

too mutch yoda in my peace pipe made me forget i had a blog. not feeling too intellectual right now so this post will mainly feature BLOG SUPERSTARS! semi related (on the tip of anti-intellectualism), is this amazing quote from featured artist Bird Peterson which i will paraphrase since i can't remember where i found it.

"I like remixes with insane basslines that have nothing to do with the original track"

grab away:

Ultimate Bass Challenge 2000 ≈ Bass 305 (song includes best title ever)

sub-feature on "A Bit Patchy":
released in 2006, this song has been, and will continue indefinitely to be, the fire.

bass part two

so everyone, i just illegally downloaded Rusko's album and it's some fire. I take great pride in being able to appreciate this body of work despite having staked out a very different sort of taste in edm then this adheres to. i hate drawn out descriptions of music, so i'll explain this album as Crookers' "tons of friends" done right. different genres, same vibe, except this one's not a misguided endeavor in cheesyness. track with gucci sucks. album highlights below:

plus it's tech tuesdaysssss

this track anticipated the gypsy-house explosion a year before it happened. it wasn't invented by stefano miele guys.

freak modeeeeeeeeeeee

in my mind, the above is the natural order of things. large bass equals body-quaking orgasm. and there is no fatter bass sound, than the forgotten WOBBLE of yesteryear.

(for future wobble-endeavoring producers: use as a reference point)

went quite buck this weekend (12 purple xannie bars, nuff said). needless too say, my ability to write is quite diminished. these songs are all really good, and come from quite a wide variety of genres. ;)

Velodrome • Zomby (jungle-trance-hip hop)

Too Fast (Zombie Disco Squad Remix) • Jamtech Foundation (FINALLY zombie disco squad is back on their game. first track from them in a while with some groove)

super idiotic

fuck. it's 2010 and i suppose that means i am obligated to post "experimental dubstep" tracks and subtitle them with proclamations of their mould-breaking and genre-bending tendencies. I'm not really down. Almost as soon as the new year rolled around and "Hyph Mango" was hailed as some sort of divine sending to the world of dubstep, the style tripped over its feet and collapsed into a pile of heartless productions and blog saturation. So now what happens when the once holy Joy Orbison releases something new? nothing really. the track is listened to once or twice, then discarded into the same pile that houses the 3000th balkan/tribal/tech/latin/african/shit house track, and the latest afrojack ringtone. pretty sad.

so what do i post now?

old fashioned jump up dub?

90's gabber?

country music?

i'll just throw up my middle finger and post the surkin EP. it's actually cool/different.

prepare to be blastmoded in 5 minutes. big speakers required for this one.

Troxler Approved!

he actually sent me an email saying he wanted this track posted. any label fatcats should
take that into consideration should they decide to harangue me about having it up.

and, because i'm crazy and spontaneous like seth, i'm going to post some shit for you to
headbang to as well.

enjoy the sick drops.

YA MON!!! (green 4 rasta kush)

Tech tuesdays baby. it's on this characterless day of the week that i will shove tunes of a very characterless genre in your face. Techno. Tech-House. Despite the fact that nobody talks about them on the blogs very much, they comprise the vast majority of electronic music releases today. Ill give you the good stuff, because there is ALOT of shitty stuff to get thru.

BUT BEFORE i let you go, i must clear something up.

THIS is midget house. minimal-fidget. yea.
I'm not hating on the genre.

THIS is some real tech house. don't get the two confused.

take songs:

Ghost Hand • Sascha Braemer (FUUKKKKK White HOT)
